Bruce and Darlene Anderson purchased a Model 4 Dunbar Popcorn Wagon mounted on a 1929 Chevrolet 1 1/2 Ton Truck at a local auction in 1985. We ran the wagon for two years to learn the ins and outs of running a steam operated machine. Next, we started collecting Chevrolet parts for it's restoration. After purchasing the wagon, we realized that many of the people that were familiar with the workings of these wagons were already in their 80's. We then decided to collect as much Dunbar history as possible. This web site is presently being produced to share this collection of historical information. The web site will be significantly expanding over the next year to share the many aspects of the Dunbar and Company's history and its production of Popcorn Wagons and Popcorn and Peanut Roasting Equipment. The steam equipment, the air poppers, operation of the equipment and the wagon's restoration will be explained in detail. Also, the web site will contain specific pages on individual surviving wagons. Please return to explore our web site over the next year.
